Myth – DEBUNKED: Woodchucks chuck wood

There is very little evidence to suggest a woodchuck could or would chuck wood!! Woodchucks have very small arms with even smaller paws. Woodchucks use those paws to burrow underground. Their diet consists largely of grasses, flowers, and other surface vegetation. Woodchucks have almost no interest in wood, they would struggle to get any wood to fit into their burrow and they are physically ill equipped for such endeavors being able to pick up only the very smallest pieces of wood.
