About Kate

What led you to a job at Cerium Networks?
I worked with Cerium as a customer for about 10 years while I was at Providence St. Joseph Health. When I separated from Providence, my first look was to Cerium where Susan and I connected and now here I am.

What is your favorite part of working in Technology?
The people (inside and outside of the organization) and making their lives easier! Using technology to improve workflows by making them more efficient and effective and seeing how those improvements benefit all people included in the workflows.

Outside of technology, what is your dream job?
Philanthropy! Ideally, I’d love for my full time ‘job’ to consist of giving back to those less fortunate than myself.

What is your favorite thing about working at Cerium?
The people! The relationships I formed when I was a client of Cerium is one of the primary reasons, I looked into coming to Cerium after I separated from Providence.

What do you do when you’re not at work?
Mostly anything outside. I love to hike, swim, camp and kayak. The PNW makes it easy to do those things quite often.

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Jumped out of an airplane (multiple times)? Jumped off a bridge? Swam in class three rapids? Not sure which is crazier – they are all fun to me.

What is something most people don’t know about you?
I’m a pretty open book, there isn’t much that’s a secret about me.

What is your favorite TV show or movie?
My Big Fat Greek Wedding

Who is your idol?
I don’t have an idol or a hero, but I am a huge fan of anyone that can be kind and lead with an open heart regardless of the situation.
