MYTH: HCI Doesn’t Perform as Well as a Legacy SAN

Some legacy-SAN vendors associate hyper-converged infrastructure with poor performance, and a common myth is that it doesn’t come with the same built-in features that a SAN provides. However, hyper-converged technologies today, especially those based on virtual machines and VMware technologies, have the same features such as quality of service, encryption, dedupe, and compression—but without the management overhead.
