Avaya Announces End of Sale for Pre-R10 IP Office Licenses

Effective June 10, 2019 Avaya will end the sale of IP Office Licenses prior to R10 (R6, R7, R8, R9.0 and R9.1 and older releases). These releases are no longer supported through Avaya.

Avaya’s recommendation to customers is to upgrade to the latest release R11.0 or Avaya Powered by IP Office. Avaya is offering customers with legacy Avaya systems a variety of promotional options through the new Loyalty2gether program to assist customers with making the transition. R11.0 is available in flexible cloud, on-premises and hybrid deployment models.

Cerium can help with older releases, but Tobin Solkey, Solutions Architect for Cerium, advises customers, “If you foresee adding anything to your systems without upgrading, then do it before June 10th.

Tobin’s advice to upgrade-reluctant customers; “I want to talk with you. We can add pre-R10 licenses as a band-aid while we discuss an upgrade strategy.

What’s new with IP Office R11.0

IP Office R11.0 extends Avaya’s innovation in the cloud and midmarket, delivering greater resilience, security and value through a wide range of endpoints, and fully integrated, easy to use, desktop and mobile clients including Avaya Equinox. R11.0 also introduces Avaya Call Reporting, enabling customers to track and report on every call without deploying a complete contact center solution. Through a single architecture, IP Office is available for both premises-base and cloud-delivered deployments.
