Cisco’s Global Partner Technology Advisory Board (PTAB) met recently in San Diego, bringing together leaders from Cisco with key technology partners for three days of interactive workshop sessions and networking opportunities. The annual event provides Cisco with a conduit for sharing and receiving technology focused information with their partner community through a series of interactive roundtables and discussion forums. Participation in the PTAB is by invitation only, providing contributors with an excellent opportunity to help Cisco set strategic priorities and create opportunities for mutual success.
We caught up with Gregg Pruett, Cerium Networks’ Vice President of Sales, who participated in the PTAB, to get his thoughts on the event. Gregg talked about his passion for participating in the PTAB, “I was on this board for eight years before coming to Cerium, and I went directly to Nirav Sheth, Cisco Vice President Solutions, Architectures and Engineering, Global Partner Organization, to get an invitation. Nirav immediately said yes because they want partners that are in touch with technology, sales, customers, and industry trends that are willing to provide feedback.”
Gregg went on to say, “I’ve sat on many boards and been to hundreds of events in my career, and this event is always my top priority. I’ve always given as much as I’ve taken from this event.” Gregg expanded on the benefits he and Cerium receive from his participation, “We get access to SVP and CIO level executives at Cisco in very intimate environment, access to new product announcements and directional changes at the highest level, and the ability to provide feedback to executives at Cisco about products, marketing, strategy, and direction.”
